Vintage Fiocchi Art Deco Black & Yellow Bakelite Egyptian Bib Cleopatra Necklace

Fabulous dramatic art deco geometric. Egyptian revival bib or festoon Cleopatra style. Large chunky graduating transparent / p. Triangle shaped fans in a rare crystal clear lemon drop light yellow shade. True black beads in two sizes. Matching black screw barrel clasp. Transparent triangle beads test positive for bakelite with both the rub and smell & simichrome methods, the black beads test negative as black often does. They are either bakelite or a high end bakelite type material such as. Atalin or French Goliath. Appears to be strung on original black cotton type thread. Guessing this to be circa 1920’s to 1930’s. Fiocchi Italian look – but this beauty is unsigned, so I can’t say for certain who to give the credit to for this masterpiece. Ready and waiting for your neck or collection – you will love it! Measurements : Aprox 17″ long end to end, largest bakelite bead is about 2 1/2″ long and the shortest bakelite bead 1 1/2 long. Marks : None that I can find. Condition : Great vintage condition – no damage or quirks to mention. View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren’t considered damaged. I will do my best to note anything glaring or distracting.
