Vintage Art Deco Rose Paste Crystal Open Back Bezel Set Riviere Necklace

Welcome to Jewel Box :. Gorgeous necklace completely hand linked with graduated pyramid (pointy back) cut glass crystals which sparkle like jewels in a design that has been around for centuries and never been bettered. The crystals are larger at the centre front and skilfully graduated and these are interspersed with the smaller crystals that make up the back of the necklace. The crystals are open set in old silvered or chromed metal surrounds and claw set for safety too. Because of all that hand crafting the necklace moves like liquid. There is a small chain section at each end which fastens with a secure ring bolt clasp. The crystals are quite deep with extraordinary jewel cutting in a petal like design radiated from the centre to the circumference which makes them really sparkle. You can hardly see the backs as the crystals are set very deep so that the upper parts of the crystals at the front of the necklace are much more prominent. I have not actually found this so far. The colour is a heavenly rose pink with some crystals being deeper than others as with a natural stone. This would make such a wonderful necklace for a Bride as well as for any event at all in its stunning classic simplicity. 16.7 inches long including the clasp. The stones graduate from app 9 mm to about 5 mm.
