O XFORD J EWEL. Vintage Art Deco Cherry Amber Bakelite Bead Necklace. Width The largest bead is 1 1/8. No clasp it must slip over your head. Tests positive for Bakelite with Simichrome. This strand is very full with a rich deep pomegranate color to the bakelite beads. At some point this strand was re-strung (without the clasp) and it was done well with a symmetrical sizing to the graduating beads and there aren. T any beads missing. The bakelite beads have a nice surface and sheen without any dings or irregularities and the strand is firm and ready to wear. Overall this is a deeply colored and striking, Art Deco cherry amber bakelite bead necklace, that is from the 1930. S and is in very good condition. _gsrx_vers_625 GS 6.9.7 (625).
