Vintage ART DECO Beautiful SUFFRAGETTE ENAMEL 3D VIOLET Flowers Pendant NECKLACE

Welcome to jewelbox :. A wonderful original in magnificent condition too. The necklace has five graduating floral groups of the sweetest violet blooms with leaves. The central one is a three dimensional posy of six blooms, this is flanked on either side by a smaller posy of three blooms and finally with one of only two blooms. The attention to detail is exquisite, as is the craftsmanship. The enamelling shades from a deeper tone in the centre to paler at the edges of the petals. Each bloom is claw set with sparkling citrine cut glass rhinestone and the leaves are a naturalistic green. The posies are separated by pale pink claw set cut glass rhinestones. These little treasures are all hand wired for impeccable hanging and the necklace finishes with a simple chain fastening with a secure ring bolt clasp. In addition to all this the metal is gilded in what appears to be a high carat gold and the finish is superb. The gilding forms a halo effect around each petal and leaf. The necklace is 15.4 inches long in total. Alternatively, a jeweller could remove the existing chain and add a longer one for you (but keep the original safely). This is not something you will find in a larger size so its worth making the effort. The central group is app 2.2 cms measured from the back. The image has not transferred from my camera as it is giving trouble so i will try to remember to take another one and upload. Please remind me if i forget :- as i suffer from old timers! Please zoom in and inspect the many photos for yourself. Any minor losses are only the passage of time and storage i think as the necklace looks like it has not even been worn. What an amazing Bridal necklace this would make. Any boxes, mannequins or fabrics are for display only. This item has not been made by Mappin & Webb. The box is a prop. Everything is photographed in natural light with a flash. I do not enhance colours but there could be difference between browsers etc. Being a human being i will probably make mistakes but please give me the opportunity to resolve it.
