Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Marcasite Necklace USA. Necklace is in very good condition. The piece is beautifully made and is stamped Sterling Silver and Made in the USA to the back of the decorative central section. The marcasite stones are bead set in this necklace. This means a jeweller spent a lot of time to lift tiny pieces of the silver base and pull them up and over the marcasites to hold them in place. The central section is also finely tooled with filigree segments to either side of the main panel. There is no damage to the piece and no repairs or missing stones. There are 5 segments to this symmetrical design which is attached to a sterling silver chain. The necklace secures with a sterling silver bolt ring closure. The marcasite section is 120mm long.
