Art Deco Period Ruby & Diamond Necklace How fabulous is this? I Love, love, love it, it’s just SO pretty! It’s French with full hallmarks for 18ct and dates to around 1920-30. It has the blade Lavalier style that was so popular from the Edwardian period but we can see in the design of the Ruby and diamond roundels, the influence of the Art Deco period. The suspended offset drops have circular settings with mine cut diamonds in the centre, surrounded by channel set rubies, each blade has a diamond set on it and these hang from a further diamond set elliptical shape (under here you can also see additional French Hallmarks). I have found the perfect period box for this very special piece so it would make a fabulous gift for a birthday or Ruby anniversary. Size: The model in the picture is lifesize so give some idea where the necklace will sit. The measurements are as follows: Length 17 (43cm) end to end including the elliptical middle. Hieght – top of elliptical to end of left hand drop is 1 3/8th” (3.5cm) to right hand drop is 2.5cm Each circular roundel is 3/8th” (9mm) in diameter.
