Rare Art Deco Venetian Millefiori Melon and Black Faceted Glass Beads Necklace. This is a beautiful and colorful Venetian Art Deco glass bead necklace. It comprises five rare matched cane melon beads in shades of red, green, yellow, blue and brown (three oval and two round shaped) with black round and faceted glass beads. This necklace has probably been restrung, but not professionally, somewhere on the way on a Beadalon string. The clasp is recent and the black beads are not identical on each side. This necklace will benefit from a new stringing with old beads that will highlight the rare melon beads. This necklace measures approx 55 cm long (21 ½). The largest oval bead measures approx. 3.4 cm long x 1.8 cm in diameter. The medium size oval bead measures approx. 3.3 cm long x 1.8 cm in diameter. The smallest oval bead measures approx. 3.2 cm x 1.7 cm in diameter. Both round beads measures approx. 2 cm in diameter. The melon beads are in very good vintage condition with no visible chips or cracks. Some of the black beads show more wear. All items come from a non-smoking and pet-free environment.
