MAX NEIGER Antique Art Deco SCARCE Red & Green Glass Bead Snake Necklace 23 1920s. Please note that our items are vintage or antique and they might show some signs of wear and usage. The necklace is made of golden tone metal and bold red and green beads. The necklace features unique Art Deco Egyptian revival design. The stunning large pendant is adorned with central red and green oval detail, framed by two snakes. The workmanship is exquisite. The necklace is scarce since the famous Neiger brothers, designers of the exquisite Bohemian jewelry, had perished in the Holocaust. The design of the necklace was influenced by the 1922 wave of “Egyptomania” that followed the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb. The necklace is as seen in the photos. The necklace is signed on the back of the upper red bead “CZECHOSLOVAKIA” and on inside of the pendant “WAOF”. The whole length of the necklace pendant included measures approx. The pendant measures 3.2″ x 2″. The necklace is designed without a clasp. The antique Bohemian necklace is in very good condition with minimal age related wear.
