Fine Vintage Cultured Round Graduated Pearl Necklace Hand Knotted. This listing is for a set of vintage. Cultured pearls graduating from 6mm – 3mm. The pearls are a good quality and have a lovely lustre, and a perfect round shape and a thick nacre which gives the rich white colour. Each pearl is hand knotted and the necklace has a silver clasp decorated with paste stones (one missing). The value of pearls is contingent on many factors and increases almost exponentially with quality. Factors that influence value of pearls are size, lustre, nacre and colour. These pearls are a good quality as detailed below. Lustre : The pearls have a really shiny lustre and a rich white colour with pink overtones. Nacre : The nacre is beautifully smooth throughout the necklace with just a few minor natural imperfections. Colour : The Pearls have a rich white colour with pink hues and is consistent throughout the necklace. The pearls are round in shape and consistent throughout the necklace. The clasp marked “SIL”. Testing : The pearls are genuine cultured pearls and have been verified with a jewellers loop. The pearls have very minor small imperfections which is evidence they are natural. Measurements : The necklace measures 44cm in length. The pearls have a diameter of 6mm. Weight : The necklace weighs 10g. Condition : The necklace is in good vintage condition. One paste stone is missing from the clasp and there is minor stretch t the cord. Otherwise the pearls have a very nice lustre and have been well cared for.
