Art Deco Platinum 8.7ct Orange Tourmaline Miner Diamond Necklace Estate. This is one of a kind ART DECO treasure crafted in luxurious platinum (tested and guaranteed) in a beautiful etched mounting circa 1920s. The center genuine earth mined tourmaline measures 14mm x 11mm cushion cut and is 8.7 carats!! It has a sparkling red orange color with tremendous luster!! The center stone is adorned by 18 old single cut diamonds (1/3 carat total estimated weight, VVS-1, G) and a large Old Mine Cushion Cut diamond is set on top. 17 carat estimated weight, VS-2, JK. The cushion diamond is a very tall stone. Grand total diamond weight is 1/2 carat. Fine etching and crisp mil-grain embellishes the necklace. The rectangular presentation measures 22mm (over 7/8) x 13mm. The wearable length is 16-3/8″ plus the drop that is 2″. The chain is marked PLAT PALL. The tourmaline has a tiny chip on a reverse back side near culet (see picture), mentioned here for accuracy, since you cannot see it from the front. The necklace weighs substantial 8 grams.
