This rare Art Deco necklace clasp has a large size natural sapphire in the center plus old mine cut diamonds around the center. The top of the piece is made of platinum and the back is made of yellow gold. The diamonds weigh approximately 1.20 carats; they are H to I color and SI clarity. The cushion cut blue sapphire weighs approximately 6.0 carats; it looks natural untreated under magnification and it has good color plus light inclusions yet it faces up great. This Art Deco piece has rich patina & light surface wear on the metal. This necklace clasp measures 19 x 14mm (0.74 x 0.55 inch) and it weighs 5.7 grams.
