ART DECO 3.15ct SAPPHIRE & OLD CUT DIAMOND NECKLACE – Platinum – c 1915. This is so pretty it almost hurts! The bright violet-ish blue sapphire is secured in the most gorgeous handmade collet with four wide claws and a highly detailed gallery. The sapphire is connected, via a diamond set linking bar, to nine articulated diamonds in milgrained rubover settings which are fixed to a striking and unusual chain. The diamonds are eight-cut and an old European cut. The diamonds are F to G. The sapphire is SI. The diamonds are VS2 to SI1; all are clean to the naked eye. The sapphire is a known 3.15 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.24 carat. The sapphire is 9.3mm in diameter. The chain is 16 inches. (Please note that custom charges may apply to some areas outside of the UK).
