Fine Art Deco 1.50ct Old Cut Diamond Natural Pearl & Sapphire Platinum Filigree Necklace. Up for sale is an antique Art Deco diamond, natural pearl & sapphire platinum filigree necklace. This magnificent piece is in good condition with normal wear for such an old necklace. The wear is mostly light and on the surface of the platinum. Another note is the clasp which is 14K and must have been changed at a later stage in the life of this antique piece. The necklace features a large size pendant dropping off a hand made platinum chain strung up with natural pearls all the way around. The pendant is filigree decorated and set with old cut diamonds, sapphire and larger natural pearls. The diamonds in the pendant weigh approximately 1.80 carats total; they are E to F color and VS clarity. Such high quality old cut diamonds are very rare and bring this necklace a notch above the rest. The center of the pendant is also set with 2.8mm round natural uncultured pearls and a 0.25 carat natural sapphire. The sapphire is marquise cut and has very good color. The center pearls have a creamy yellowish color and very good luster. The chain measures 43cm long and the pendant 5.3cm by 2.6cm while the whole piece weighs 10.2 grams total.
