The Art Deco Era is famous for being the “Gatsby” or “Roaring Twenties” Era. A lot of gorgeous and timeless designs in jewelry came out of this period. During the Art Deco Era jewelers would often make these gorgeous piece to order, which would take weeks to hand craft! Precious coral is harvested almost exclusively in the Mediterranean off the coasts of Italy, France, Spain, Algeria, and Tunisia. Salmon Coral has widely been valued as the rarest and most beautiful of all Coral types. During the Victorian Period only the richest of the rich could afford to have this form of coral harvested and imported into Europe and North America. The necklace includes 75 hand carved and polished 4 mm Angel Skin Coral Beads. The beads are hand strung on silk string and include beautiful soft pink hues throughout. The bottom pendant also features a gorgeous larger cabochon cut Angel Skin Coral beads surrounded by smaller 1 point diamonds. The necklace includes beautiful handmade classic Art Deco Era design work including solid 14k Yellow gold spacers strung on the necklace as well as a solid 14k push clasp. The stones in the bottom pendant are encases in a yellow Gold outer layer and a white gold inner layer to really make the diamonds pop! The necklace measures 16 in length. The bottom pendant measures just over 1/2 in diameter. The bottom pendant weighs by itself 3.8 grams!!! Antique and Vintage jewelry is disappearing at alarming rates.
