Beautiful Antique Art Deco Egyptian Revival Carved Bone (Bovine) and Faux Amber Celluloid Beads Long Flapper Necklace. Rare Unusual Unique Collector. Circa 1910 A Really UNUSUAL and RARE Piece! A beautiful antique early Art Deco Egyptian Revival carved bone and celluloid faux amber beads long flapper necklace. The’amber’ beads look very realistic. The three large oval beads are carved from bone. The four lozenge shaped carved beads, as well as the amber coloured beads, are all made of celluloid. There is some faint crackling on the surface of some of the beads, commensurate with age, but you only notice this if scrutinising through a jewellers loupe, not when wearing. The necklace string was broken in two places, diametrically opposite to one another (please see final photo). The repair to the string has been done well and both sides match, and it is barely even noticeable. The beads are threaded on the original thread, which is hand-knotted, denoting quality. There is no clasp, the necklace just goes on over the head and is very lightweight and easy to wear. Necklace measures approximately: 43 or 109cm The large oval carved bone beads measure approximately: 24.5mm in Very Good Antique Condition, with issue mentioned above Please read below… Simply request the Total at checkout.
