Antique Art Deco 14kt SOLID Gold, Pearls, Emeralds, Yellow Diamonds 17 Necklace

This beautifully styled necklace was made in England during the Arts & Crafts movement. It is artisan initialed and marked with the period symbol 585, which was used to designate 14KT gold at that time. The metal has been tested and is guaranteed to be 14KT solid gold. There are some other very tiny marks as well, too small for me to make out or to take images of and probably represent the assay office or company. The necklace with its chain weighs in at 14.17 grams. Its lovely design highlights three stunning natural pearls, the largest of which measures 5mm in length and 5mm in diameter. The two smaller pearls which flank the larger center pearl are each 4mm in length and 3mm in diameter. Each of these antique natural pearls retain their beautiful luster, coloring, and symmetry and are perfectly matched for one another. There are 13 stones which decorate its body. Eight small diamonds decorate a raised circular wreath in its center. There are two beautiful Emeralds, the largest of which is situated where the chain meets or intersects above the body. This stone is deep green in color and has a large table. The second Emerald is situated in the center of the body below the ring of Diamonds. This Emerald is smaller than the first with the same deep green color, cut, and table. There are two stones one on each side of this lower Emerald, both of which are Yellow Diamonds and have been tested. Lastly a very small diamond is positioned above the center pearl. The construction and design of this pendant enables it to retain its strength and form while giving it a delicate appearance. I have taken images of the back so you can see the workmanship which gives the body its substantial feel. The pendant measures 1 3/4″ in length and 15/16″ in width. Counting the center pearl the length is 2 1/8. The chain is strong and has fine box link. It is 17 in length and is in remarkable condition, with no damage or repairs. The unique clasp works perfectly and is original to the piece. This lovely necklace and pendant had been lovingly stored for many decades and we have found no damage or areas of concern. It is a stunning period piece for the most discerning collector, or for that “wow” factor at you next engagement. Please see images for rest of description.
