Art Deco Bakelite Cherry Red Amber Necklace Immaculate Round Beads

Absolutely immaculate condition, beautiful Round Deep Red Cherry Bakelite Necklace. This necklace still retains a really good polish to the beads and you can see they are hand finished and original. The necklace has nice sized round graduated beads which are almost opaque and light in weight, as they should be! When held up to the light they are very slightly translucent showing the internal swirls of the Bakelite. Bakelite was made popular during the Art Deco era and is now highly collectable, the round beads far more so than the olives or oblong beads. They have a double bead screw clasp and are threaded with original double strings. There are 33 beads plus a two part clasp. The largest bead is approx: 22 mm in diameter and the smallest is approx: 10 mm. The length of the necklace is approx: 42cm / 16.5 inch. The total weight of Necklace is approx 51g.
