Akoya Pearls during the Art Deco Period were extremely rare and expensive to own! These pearls were extremely elegant and highly sought after due to their stunning luster and beautiful round shape. The pearls were still very new during the Art Deco Period and usually reserved for only the richest of the rich with their incredibly expensive price. Sapphires have long been prized for both their rarity and beauty. They are considered one of the four precious gemstones along with Rubies, Diamonds & Emeralds.
