Pendant: Gorgeous, substantial (12mm x 10mm) Octagonal Prong Set Garnet Glass/Gem (not a gemologist) which is hand-cut much like an emerald with 3 Steps/Bevels on either side, but the bottom is not flat it looks rather like a Triangular Prism but with trapezoid sides and triangle ends. See the last 4 photos for close-ups of the stone. This lovely is framed by an Octagonal Openwork Filigree setting of Jasmine Flowers which symbolize love, beauty, sensuality, and in some cultures, good luck. NOTE: I noticed while editing that the wire holding the pendant was open a bit, but this is now closed and secure thanks hubby! The Pendant is suspended from an Openwork Lacy Filigree Floral Frame accented with Glass Pearls. The Chain is typical of the era and is composed of Crimped, Diamond-shaped Links. Period Slip-On Self Closing Clasp with Floral decoration. CONDITION: Very Good Handmade Vintage condition with very minor wear considering its age. The hand-cut garnet glass is not a perfect fit, but this is only evident upon magnified inspection. It would also benefit from a cleaning with a soft cotton swab, particularly on the reverse which is a bit dusty, and this will greatly enhance its shine.
