VINTAGE ART DECO 1930’s Tested Rare Faceted Green BAKELITE Big Bead NECKLACE. Genuine vintage, lovely necklace. Necklace much more beautiful by eye than pictures, lovely translucent emerald green bakelite beads with teal green hues – large beads. 16.25 inches end to end or circumference. Beads measure 17 mm. A rare and very beautiful original art deco genuine bakelite bead necklace which has to be seen by eye to be appreciated (photos do not give it credit). The rare translucent and faceted large emerald green beads have passed the bakelite test, when heated with friction the you can smell the formaldehyde (medicinal band aid smell) which is only evident in true bakelite. The large 17 mm wide beads are individually wire linked and spaced with rolled gold bar links, complete with matching wired hook and eye clasp. Unclasped the necklace measures 16.25 inches long (end to end or circumference). The necklace is in excellent vintage condition, well wired with no damage. Box not included in sale.
