EXTREMELY RARE Antique Vintage Art Deco HUGE Chunky Cherry Bakelite Style Early Plastic Round Beads Necklace. Such an Amazing and Unique Piece! Perfect to Wear and Enjoy! A fabulous and extremely rare antique Art Deco cherry bakelite style huge chunky round early plastic beads necklace. These wonderful chunky beads are really heavy – they look and feel just like bakelite, but they do not test positive with simichrome. They are a very deep red wine colour and are a totally opaque solid colour. There are no seams. The beads are on the original thread, which is hand knotted, denoting quality. The necklace fastens with the old Victorian style stick through hoop fastener. There are a couple of light surface marks on one of the bigger beads which was really difficult to show on the photographs (see last picture) but this doesn’t in any way detract from its immense charm.
