1920’s Art Deco Egyptian Revival Stunning Multi Chain Metal Necklace & Bracelet
Offering a stunning, authentic, vintage Art Deco / Egyptian Revival necklace and bracelet. The set is amazingly constructed with row upon row of gold tone metal chains in graduated layers. The necklace measures about 14 3/4″ around at the very top strand and falls 6″ from the top dip. The tongue in groove clasp measures 1 1/2 in length and is in excellent working condition. The bracelet measures a bit over 7″ in length and is 3″ wide including the balls on each side. The chains used have a round, repousse floral, or perhaps sun shape, at their center and even the hanging balls are intricately covered with a webbed design. The chains and balls are unbroken and complete except for one small ball missing on the edge of the bracelet. I have shown it with an arrow in one photo because it is hard to find. This necklace is solidly built, evidencing great craftsmanship. The design has weathered the years well, although the metal has lost much of it’s gold tone surfacing which I think must have made it shine brilliantly when new. The gold tone is still obviously evident but rubbed from the places closest to the neck and skin.
