These breathtaking beads are German Cut and not found in modern jewelry due to its labor intensive nature and need for very skilled gem cutting artisans. Each bead is cut by hand in a graduated fashion. What makes THIS necklace particularly valuable is the fact that it is not a simple diameter increase, but because the beads are graduated, the increases must be made in width height and depth! Each crystal was cut from its matrix and the gem cutter was limited by where that matrix intruded. Beads – 10mm – 20mm!
