Vintage Art Deco Opal Diamond Necklace 9k Yellow Gold 17.5 Estate Fine Jewelry. Finely detailed vintage Art Deco era opal & diamond necklace (circa 1920s to 1930s), crafted in 9 karat yellow gold. Natural opals measure from 14mm x 9mm (3), 12mm x 8mm (2), 9mm x 7mm (2), 7mm x 5mm (4) and 5mm x 4mm (2). The opals are in good condition and free of cracks or chips (note: light crazing to some of the opals). Old European and single cut diamonds total an estimated 0.40 carats (estimated at I-J color and SI1-I1 clarity). The gorgeous necklace is set with colorful natural opals that exhibit a strong green color base with flashes of blue, purple, yellow and orange. The necklace was altered at a later date to add a curb link chain. Great worn alone as a statement piece of layered with your fine jewelry from any era. The necklace is in very good original condition. We have not cleaned the necklace in order to preserve the patina and collector value. Weight: 21.7 grams.
