This is a stunning hand-knotted angel skin coral strand Art Deco necklace that includes glossy, black onyx discs. The beads are hand worked, meaning that the beads have been made one by one by hand and are slightly flat at the poles. The slightly out-of-round beads confirm that the beads were not made with the help of machines as they are made today. The lovely pale pink and cream beads create a dramatic effect next to the glossy black discs. Because they are natural, from the sea, you will find some cracks or blemishes. Coral is one of the organic gemstones and as such you will find imperfections. The barrel clasp works well. Vintage to the beautiful Art Deco era.
