RARE Antique Vintage Art Deco Purple Vauxhall Glass Mirrored Glass Amethyst / Diamond Paste Necklace. Circa 1920’s – 30’s. A rare and stunning antique Art Deco purple. Vauxhall glass necklace, with clear diamond pastes. The purple glass literally glows whenever it catches the light. The necklace is on a delicate golden chain and fastens with a bolt ring clasp. Although beautiful, it isn’t perfect – there are a couple of small chips to the purple glass (please see final two photo’s). You wouldn’t notice this when wearing, only if studying the enlarged photographs. Also, the metal settings are tarnished and have not come clean with polishing. The necklace has been priced accordingly and even with these imperfections it is immensely charming and very wearable, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a gift for this reason.
