Magical ART DECO VINTAGE BI COLOUR Uranium CRYSTAL NECKLACE Rare Facets

Welcome to jewelbox :. Gorgeous heavy necklace with large graduated cut glass beads in a rich deep blue (please see image with ruler as that is with no flash and you can see the colour intensity). The beads contain uranium which gives them that mysterious green hue. The beads are a rare cut which i have seen referred to as’pagoda’. They graduate from a whopping 19/20 mms to 7.5 mms and are separated with clear bicones which do not detract from them. The original double string is discoloured in areas and stretched app 7 mms if i push the beads apart and for such precious beads i would advise a restring at some point. Pearl sellers advise restring every 3 years. The necklace fastens with a lovely rose gold bolt ring clasp via the tiny springs which absorb shock in wear and are a sign of quality. The necklace hangs beautifully. 16 inches long excluding the clasp. If really scrutinised there are flea bites but nothing to spoil this wonderful piece.
