Jakob Bengel style necklace, Art Deco, machine age chrome and enamel effect
Stunning, elegant piece of vintage jewelry. Very good condition with high luster and only minor surface loss or marks. All links are secure, yet expertly crafted to allow for comfortable movement. Light weight with polished edges, and high luster in its chrome-like alloy and enamel finish. Enamel thought to be cold-paint. This piece, believed to be designed by Jakob Bengel from his machine-age line out of Germany, has two separate 1 inch segments of two links each, which were perhaps once earrings, or else removed by our mother to better fit her young neck back in the 1930’s or 40’s. We include these for the purchaser to decide on their best use. The extra links can be readily restored for longer length as well. Total weight of offering is approx.
