Gorgeous ART DECO Chrysoprase & Marcasite Necklace Beautiful Patina
Art Deco Marcasite and Chrysoprase Sterling Silver Necklace 20. This large, shield shaped, Art Deco Pendant is gorgeous. It truly is a piece of art. The design is intricate and somewhat complicated to describe. My photos will tell the story. The rectangular green chrysoprase is stunning. It is beveled and peeks out of an intricate sterling and marcasite open embellishment that sets off this amazing piece of jewelry. The braided chain is attached to the pendant with end tabs. The end tabs connect to two unique sections that then attach to a main triangular piece. Each of the triangular pieces have deep set marcasite. That particular section of the necklace reminds me of a station necklace. They are expertly linked together with small sterling silver oval chain. This piece is delicate yet bold. It truly is a statement piece. The pendant is marked 925 and the chain is marked 980. The spring ring is marked sterling. The end tabs are signed but I cannot make out the signature. It is difficult to read. The necklace has developed a lovely patina which is characteristic of its age. Please note the photos. The pendant by itself measures 2″ x 1 1/2″. When measured from the end tabs to the bottom of the pendant it measures almost 3 long. Braided chain and pendant as a piece measure about 20 total in length. I pack very carefully.
