Gold Art Deco Vintage Articulated Snake Serpent Necklace Choker Marked Pat Pend
This is a stunning 1930s-40s Art Deco articulated snake necklace. It is a short necklace, worn as a choker and the head attaches to the tail with a raised screw to a button hole hook. The entire body is articulated and has great movement. It is in nice vintage condition. I believe the eyes are missing as I have seen this piece before with green, blue or red eyes. I have left it this way so that you may choose the color and have the eyes added on your own if you wish. The entire snake is gold tone. Depending on the lighting it looks somewhat faded in parts. I have tried to take pictures in both bright light and dimmer light. It has not been cleaned, and I leave that up to the purchaser to clean or leave be. It is marked Pat Pend. Interesting fact: It was made shortly before Bulgari Serpenti made its debut. Measures just over 18 inches from head to tail. A true vintage beauty, 80-90 years old.
