Erte Sophistication Necklace 14K Gold Silver Sapphires Diamonds Mother of Pearl. 1984 “Sophistication” Necklace, Erte # 110/250 limited edition COA signed Erte with original box and COA State 1. “Sophistication” is an exquisite carving composed of precision-cut stones and precious metals in high and low relief. Inset in the elegant carving is a portrayal of the delicately sculpted mother of pearl face of a woman wearing an intricately carved precious metal headdress with a detailed pattern. Erte’s authorized signature is affixed to each work in the edition. Each work in the edition is individually numbered and bears the precious metals stamps. From the “Sophistication” collection and designed in silver and yellow gold, accented with sapphires and diamonds with a carved female mother of pearl womans profile. The necklace is designed to dissemble. The central station may be worn as a brooch and the two side elements assembled as a necklace, marked CFA Sterling 14KT 110 / 250. Accompanied by original retailer’s Circle Gallery of Chicago presentation box The necklace measures 10 inches from top to bottom. Pendant 3.5 inches.
