CHUNKY FLAPPER LENGTH VINTAGE ART DECO CHERRY AMBER BAKELITE BEAD NECKLACE 74g
This is a superb flapper length opaque cherry amber bakelite necklace of oval graduated beads. It has tested positive for bakelite with simichrome paste (see photo). The largest bead is approx 29mm x 20mm and the smallest approx 11mm x 7mm although there are also the remains of the concealed bead screw catch which has no screw thread. It weighs 74g on my postal scales and measures approx 800mm in total length. There is no damage, it is in good vintage condition and would date to the early 20th century, I think.
