Art Deco Iconic Bristol Blue Paste Crystal Open Back Bezel Set Vintage Necklace

Welcome to Jewel Box :. Iconic necklace with vivid Bristol Blue square glass faceted crystals, app 8 mm square, claw set, unusually, into round open bezel settings. I have photographed them with and without flash but i cannot reproduce the depth of the colour. Being open set the light floods through the backs as well. The settings are brass as are the fancy stamped panels that link them together into a lovely classic riviere necklace. As the design has been around for centuries and never bettered it is unlikely this style of necklace will ever date. The necklace fastens with a secure ring bolt clasp. The brass has a gentle gilding on it which has dulled over time but i think this is exactly how it should be. I can find nothing wrong with this necklace. A rare piece to find in 2020!
