METAL: Gold Plate over Brass. 1930s Art Deco Era Rococo Revival Pendant Necklace Rococo Designs were ever so popular during the 1920-35 Deco era. Faceted Czech Amethyst Glass Stones; Open Backs for enhanced light play; Dogtooth Bezel Set; Center focal is a Huge 30mm x 20mm. To give you an idea of size, the largest measurement on my chart for an Amethyst Gemstone shows that a 20 x 15 would be 16cts, so this faux stone would equate to probably 20cts+. Frame: The center is Open Filigree work comprised of Heart, Scroll, & Beadwork Elements & the solid, outer perimeter has an Etched Foliate Design. Unique Etched Bail with attached Period Chain; Spring Ring Clasp. CONDITION: Excellent Antique Condition overall with minor/acceptable wear considering its age! As seen in the photos, patina is naturally present, but this gives the piece age old warmth you only see on antique jewelry and without it, the age would be suspect. The focal stone has a speck of a nick on the left side which is greatly exaggerated in my high def/super magnified Canon photos, but barely seen with the naked eye unless one is looking for it. The eye is drawn to the overall beauty of the piece and not to any blemish. 18.75 Princess length; Pendant alone: 2 L x 1.25 W & 1/4 depth; Weight: 18.4g.
