ART DECO Czech VAUXHALL GLASS Pink Crystal Paste Vintage Bridal NECKLACE GIFT

Welcome to Jewel Box :. A magical piece from the Old Kingdom of Bohemia. An adorable piece so romantic and lovely in every detail. The glass is moulded / poured glass in a shade that can only be described as pink champagne. You can see how beautifully the leaves are detailed and in addition the glass has been lightly frosted. The setting has that finely worked border which is typical of these pieces. Each of the panels is separated by a vivid sapphire pink cut glass crystal rhinestone which is so cheeky between the fragile leaves. These will be foil backed in order to have that colour and sparkle. If you turn the necklace over you can see that wonderful old construction which is not usual. The necklace is completed with a simple trace chain which fastens with a secure bolt ring clasp. App 16.05 inches in length and app 12 mm deep which is the height of the leaves. At one point this must have been gilded bright but this has worn to a soft burnished appearance. They are still silky smooth and a complete joy to wear.
