A stunning antique Art Nouveau/early Art Deco Venetian Murano millefiori colourful oval beads long necklace. The millefiori beads have wonderful. Chevrons and star canes in. Chunky towards the centre. There are also lovely hand-made cobalt blue transparent beads, which look gorgeous when they catch the light. The necklace has just been professionally re-threaded. All the original beads and clasp have been used. The only thing worth mentioning is that there is an extra millefiori bead on one side, so it isn’t quite symmetrical, but you wouldn’t notice this when wearing, as it still hangs beautifully and this doesn’t in any way detract from its immense charm. The necklace is quite heavy, weighing in at 102g. It fastens with a sterling silver clasp, which is stamped for silver, however the necklace is long enough to go over the head without undoing the clasp. The beads are in Fantastic Condition, with no damage that I can find. It’s rare to find an antique Venetian necklace in such good condition as this. Necklace measures approximately : 30.5 or 77.5cm.
