ANTIQUE ART DECO BOHEMIAN CZECH Filigree AQUA CRYSTAL DROP Vintage NECKLACE

Welcome to Jewel Box :. A beautiful faery tale necklace from the Old Kingdom of Bohemia to make the wearer feel magical. It is designed with five intricately worked panels in silvered lacy filigree metal overlapping claw set marquise cut glass crystals in an aquamarine shade as well as collet set twinkling blue topaz shaded pastes. The layers give a lush appearance so the eye can scarce take in the beauty of the workmanship and design. The elongated pendant section hangs en tremblant and links to two similarly designed panels on each side whicnn in turn link to two winged panels all exquisite in detail. The remainder of the necklace is completed with silvered embossed panels which are double sided and separated with shiny silvered spheres which are all hand linked for liquid movement. The necklace fastens with a secure ring bolt clasp. These early pieces of course were not signed but the exquisite workmanship and design is very similar to the Gurtler Coop of Gablonz. The necklace is 16.75 inches long. The central dropper section is app 39 mm deep and those lovely marquise crystals are app 9.5 10 mm. There is minor rubbing to the cannetille decoration and the clasp but the rest of the silvering is exquisite. The dark areas are just the recesses in the silvering.
