Amazing FRENCH ART DECO Stacked CHROME & GALALITH NECKLACE Jakob Bengel Style

ITEM : Amazing FRENCH ART DECO Stacked CHROME & GALALITH NECKLACE – Jakob Bengel Style. APPROXIMATE AGE : Early 20th Century – Circa 1920’s. APPROXIMATE SIZE : The necklace measures approximately 18 in length. The center “stacked” or “multi-layered” link portion of the necklace consists of five(5) graduated links and measure approximately 5 1/2″ across with the center largest “stacked” link measuring 1 1/8″ wide. The center largest “stacked” measures approximately 1 3/8″ (34mm) across at the base, 1″ (23mm) across at the top, 1 1/8″ (29mm) wide and 1/2″ (12mm) high(thick). ANTIQUE CONDITION : Very Good overall antique condition. The necklace appears to be all original and there is no evidence of repair or restoration. The only condition issue with this necklace regards the center “stacked” link which at top shows an extremely faint hairline near the lower left corner(see the 4th photograph posted). This issue only became apparent when viewing the photographs as it is virtually invisible in reality. The necklace is fitted with its original barrel shaped clasp that is functioning properly and securely. WEIGHT : 84.80 grams. MARKS : The necklace is marked “Made in France”(see the fifth photograph posted). The early plastic portion of this necklace was tested with Simichrome and it did not test positive for Bakelite. SPECIAL NOTES : This absolutely amazing French high Art Deco early plastic & chrome necklace is very much in the style of Jakob Bengel. Superb quality & striking Art Deco design.
