He trained at the Goldsmith firm of Hjortdahl & Meldahl from 1915 through 1919 and stayed with the firm until 1936. Having completed all his requirements, he registered with the Norwegian Goldsmiths Association in 1936. Andresen and Scheinpflug opened their silver enamel workshop on August 1st, 1936. Unfortunately they were only in operation for 4 years when in 1940 Norway was pulled into World War II and all supplies of silver from Germany ceased. Andresen died in 1974. The limited years of production make this firm’s pieces incredibly rare and highly coveted.
