Authentic Art Deco Necklace by Nov-E-Line Silver Tone Paste Glass w Original Box. Presenting an authentic Art Deco Era necklace by Nov-E-Line in the original jeweler’s box. This is a beautiful antique necklace with a built-in pendant. The chain has long and short links. The pendant is articulated and set with antique rhinestones, also called paste stones because they were made from poured glass paste. The necklace is approximately 24 inches long. The pendant is a bit more than 2 1/4 inches tall by 15 mm at the widest point. The metal is base metal with a bright rhodium plating that resembles platinum. White metals in jewelry were all the rage at the time this necklace was made, around the 1920s. The box is gorgeous too. It has a silk-lined interior with a removable fine black velvet insert easel and a button closure. The condition of the necklace is good. The plating is intact. Two stones have darkened with time. The box is in good overall condition with a couple of water stains and light signs of wear consistent with age. The mark on the inside of the cover reads “Bush & Walsh, Jewelers and Opticians, Passaic New Jersey, Nutley NJ, Clifton NJ, The Hallmark Store”.
