A beautiful necklace from the Edwardian to Art Deco Era set with sterling silver oval open mounts claw set with wonderful marbled glass cabochons in cranberry and white which give an overall rose effect. The open settings allow maximum light to flood through and work its magic. These are linked by the most beautiful fine panels designed as two twisted strands centred with an intricate flower. Even the strands show the quality of this piece as they are worked with millegrain. The panels, although fine are of a substantial thickness. The 925 Sterling Silver metal is unmarked, which is not uncommon for a piece of this age, but has been tested by my Jeweller and is guaranteed to be Sterling Silver. The necklace fastens with a secure ring bolt clasp. Please refer to the measurements as close up images (to reveal any flaws) can make objects look larger. This is NOT chunky. 15.95 inches long inc the secure ring bolt clasp. The glass panels are app 12 mm, the silver links are app 14.5 mm. I cannot see anything wrong with this charming old necklace but please do take a good look for yourself. I have not polished the silver as i think it is perfect as it is.
