Rare Art Deco White Metal Ruby & Aquamarine Drop lavaliere Necklace Circa 1920’s
Being offered for sale with out reserve this simple rare and stunning Antique Art Deco White Metal Aquamarine and Ruby French lavaliere drop pendant necklace circa 1920’s. This really is a stunning piece i have stated white metal as parts of the pendant are testing as platinum other parts are testing as silver. On the chain there is the remains of a tiny mark on the loop which i think reads 900 but is very worn. The stones are testing as pale aquamarines and bright red rubies on my presidium tester however i think they are more than likely to be synthetics as were very popular in the Art Deco period especially in french pieces. Large Ruby drop spreads around 3/4 of a carat the two principle Aquamarines spread around 0.80 cts each of the small round cut rubies on the spacers spread around 0.05cts each. The longest drop measures 4.5 cm in length the drops either side measure 3 cm in length the top section of the pendant across the aquamarines measure 2 cm across. The chain measures 41 cm that’s 16 inches and is 1 mm in width and is very fine as is common with necklaces of this type it really is a beautiful piece in original condition.
